The group meets in the small fishing village of Stavanger.
This village can be explored on foot with lots of shopping
and restaurants to choose from with local flavor.
In the morning we catch the 8:00 am Lysefjord ferry. It slowly
winds its way further inland to a narrow and spectacular,
3000 foot fjord above a deep salt-water channel. We will arrive
in Lysebotn at noon, walking distance from the cabins.
Each cabin has two small rooms with bunk beds, two people
per room and one fold out bed in the living room area. Each
cabin has a bathroom and shower, small kitchen and dining
table. The front deck looks back down the fjord with a 1000
ft. waterfall near the grassy meadow.
Usually on our last night we take the shuttle to the Crows
Nest restaurant for a great last meal in Lysebotn. The Crows
Nest is perched high upon the North side of the fjord.
